Your Rights Explained
Think of this page as the museum's records office. Every detail we hold about you is catalogued, cared for and kept only for as long as it is genuinely needed.
In plain English: you have the right to know what information we hold, to ask for it to be corrected, to download a copy for yourself, and to ask for it to be removed where there is no lasting reason to keep it.
These rights come from the General Data Protection Regulation. We honour them for every member, wherever in the world they live.

Right to Access
Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and how it is used.
Right to Correct
If something in your record is wrong or incomplete, you may ask us to put it right.
Right to Erasure
Ask us to remove your personal information where there is no lasting reason to keep it.
Right to Portability
Request your information in a common digital format so you may take it elsewhere.
Right to Restrict
Ask us to pause certain uses of your information while a question is being resolved.
Right to Object
Object to particular uses of your information where the law allows you to do so.

Write to the records office at any time. You may ask for:

How Long We Keep Information
While Your Museum Is Open
Your account details and memories are kept so your museum remains available to you and those you invite.
After You Close Your Account
Personal information is removed within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep something by law.
Legal Obligations
A small amount of information — such as billing records — may be retained for the period the law requires.
Whenever You Ask
You may request deletion at any time. Where we are able to act, we will.

International Data Protection
Memorivos works with carefully chosen partners, and your information may sometimes be processed in another country.
Wherever it travels, it travels protected — under agreements and safeguards recognised by European privacy law.
